Song Young-gil, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was hit in the head with a blunt weapon while campaigning in Sinchon, Seoul today (7th).



CEO Song was beaten by an unidentified elderly man who rushed at the square in front of U-plex in Sinchon around 12:15 pm today.



CEO Song was moving toward the square as soon as he arrived at the time, and a man ran out of nowhere and hit Song's head several times with a blunt weapon.




The man was immediately subdued on the spot and handed over to the police, and CEO Song was taken to a nearby emergency room.



Ho-jung Yun, the floor leader, said at the rally that continued at the scene, "I smashed Song's head with a pointed object like a hammer."



It is said that Song's life is not in jeopardy.
